We all have that short-list of favorite dessert that we go to in a pinch, whether it's unexpected guests, or just a quick pick-me-up. My list is kind of random, (with lots of chocolate,) but they are my go-to's. Let's dive in and check out this list!

1. Chocolate Crémeux with Poached Pears and Pecans
This may be my all-time favorite dessert-and that's saying a lot since I haven't yet met a dessert I didn't like. I love that this recipe is simple to make even though it makes an impressive presentation for your guests. It's perfect for date night or a dinner party.

2. Chocolate Mousse Pots With Whisky Cream
I had a chocolate mousse with Irish whiskey at a restaurant in Mexico and fell in LOVE. Since then I've tried many times (with many fails) to recreate that fabulous mousse and this recipe is the closest I've found. It is silky smooth, DARK chocolate, and the flavors are perfect.
3. Caramel Apple Pecan Cobbler
To me, butter can make or break a good dessert (I know I'm weird), and this cobbler definitely lived up to my expectations-and beyond. Butter gives the topping loads of crunchy goodness-and did I mention you top it with a delicious caramel sauce? It's like all the best apple desserts all combined into one dish! This will be the ONLY apple dessert recipe you'll need! This one is always a hit with my family.
4. Best Fudgy Cocoa Brownies
Everyone has their favorite homemade brownie recipe-and this is mine. If you follow the directions EXACTLY they will be so gooey. The ultimate comfort food! Sometimes happiness is just a brownie and a warm drink away.

5. Creamiest Banana Pudding
Having grown up in the South, I've had a few banana puddings in my time (ok, more than a few.) But this recipe is the CREAMIEST ever. I think the cream cheese adds to the smooth decadent texture. You've got to try it.
Let me know in the comments if you've tried any of these!
