Versatility For The Win
Besides being gorgeous, it's best feature is it's versatility. Greenery is a must-have whether your approach to decorating is minimalist or maximalist. It can be used alone for minimalist simplicity.
I love using greenery as a foundational element. Then add layers of other elements to add textures, color, and aroma to your kitchen. I like to add sprigs of other greenery or twigs for texture, sprigs of fresh herbs, dried orange slices or fruit, cinnamon sticks, string lights, ribbon, or ornaments. Add as much or as little as you like-you really can't go wrong!
These are my favorite basic ideas that are a starting point to fuel your creativity. Place evergreen boughs directly on the table as a natural runner, or centerpiece. Decorate your oven hood with greenery or wreaths. Arranged green stems in a vase or several mini vases along the countertops. Hang a sprig from each kitchen cabinet handle. Drape garland (and any other ornaments) overhead from a light fixture. Tie a branch or mini wreath to dining chair backs or barstools with festive ribbon. Place greenery and fairy lights under a glass cake cover or cloche. The possibilities are endless, but these are my go-to's to get you started and your kitchen will look amazing!
Tips
Pro tips: Add string lights to natural greenery garlands before hanging, or use one of the pre-lit versions to save time. The ornaments for mini Christmas trees are perfect for smaller areas such as an arrangement on a light fixture. Use faux greenery stem twist ties (link below) to anchor Christmas greenery so they blend in. Try layering different types of natural greenery for added textures, including fresh herbs or branches from the garden. You can thank me later!
