Cozy, Quick Fall Home Interior Decor Ideas

As summer transitions into fall, and as the temperature begin to cool, it compels us to make our home space warmer, more comfortable, and to make it cozier. This draws us to more muted colors, thicker fabrics, and warmer layers. If you are looking for cozy, fall home interior decor ideas, try some or all of these simple ideas as you feather your nest and create a warmer, fall aesthetic in your home!

Bedding

To cozy up your bedroom, begin by adding bedding in fall colors and fabrics, or just layering on a throw or pillows. This velvet duvet from Anthro is a favorite of mine. Another option in classic velvet comes in rich, autumn colors. Amazon offers this duvet set in a variety of muted, fall colors.

Throws and Pillows

Textiles such as throws or pillows are a great option to use throughout your home to add warm layers, and fall colors to any room. Personally, I love this chunky, knit throw, which has great texture and also comes in several great fall colors. This throw is made of sherpa, adding warmth, and cozy appeal to any room. Anything but basic, this organic cotton throw is such a good deal, you can afford to get one in every color!

Can you ever really have too many pillows? If you agree, check out these pumpkin pillows, that are a must-have for the season. Another great option are these pillows in cotton velvet, which are available in a variety of colors. This pieced, leather throw pillow will make a bold statement in any room.

Candles

Candles are the easiest, and quickest way to change the ambiance of any room, instantly giving it a relaxed, warm glow. Nothing says says cozy more than candlelight. For more pop, I recommend placing them in groupings.

Fall Arrangements

Another fall element to add to your home decor, is to arrange pumpkins, or gourds if you prefer. They are so versatile, you really can’t go wrong with arranging pumpkins, no matter how you arrange them. Small ones look great in a basket, larger ones are cute stacked, and they look fabulous in windowsills. Here are some examples to inspire you!

Also, try using any type of dried stems in fall arrangements. Pampas grasses or stalks of grain are good choices.
