Around my house, Christmas decorating is fully underway (and had been for a while, if I'm honest)! When decorating for the holidays, it's easy to focus on the living room, kitchen, but overlook the bedroom. Or maybe you want to make the bedroom Christmassy too, but you just don't know how to go about it. Even after adding a Christmas tree in the bedroom it still lacks a holiday magic. Relax! Grab some hot cocoa, and follow this guide to making your bedroom Christmassy and infinitely cozier.

These are some of my favorite ideas for a cozy Christmas bedroom for the holidays. Best of all, after you take down the Christmas items, you can leave the others to keep the coziness throughout the winter.
Is it possible to have too many lights?
Nah. Start with the focal point over the headboard of the bed. Twinkle lights are a must here. Try out a couple different methods hanging them and see which you like best. If you have a shelf or ledge, just wind them along it, or weave them through Christmas display as shown above.
You can also hang them in vertical strands so they look like icicles.
Another idea is to just hang them in a casual, random fashion, garland-like over the head of the bed. You don't want perfect symmetry or it will appear as though you tried to hard, if that makes sense!
Above the Bed
Next, wreaths are the perfect addition above the bed or headboard. They come in endless varieties of textures and sizes, plus they're budget friendly so go crazy-add as many as feels right. You can always make one yourself if you're crafty.
Bedside Table Glam Up
Don't forget to show the bedside table some love. The simple evergreen branches on either of these bedside tables (see photo above and below) is the perfect compliment to the winter scene. They add a pop of color and can be mixed with your choice of any Christmas decorations. Add any holiday decorations that you choose to complete the look.
Bedding Layers
Lastly, adding soft, warm layers to your bedding in holiday colors or winter white will give your bedroom an extra boost of coziness. Think layers and textures-choose thicker, heavier weaves such as a chunky throw, knitted textures, or wooly textures. Decorative pillows in different textures will add depth and interest to the bed as well.
