It's time! If you haven't started with your Christmas decorating you are behind. Just kidding, but here at GWS, we started early! GWS is here with ideas to give you kitchen island decor inspo for Christmas. This Christmas kitchen island is just a quick trip to Hobby Lobby away. Or Amazon if you want to make it even easier. Scroll along as we give you tips on simple holiday décor ideas inspiration for your kitchen.

A member of our team has already started decorating as they're celebrating Christmas with their family at Thanksgiving this year, since they won't be able to be together on Christmas day. So whether you are team "earlybird" or team "not until December" type of person-save this post for inspo.

The first step is to lay a foundation of evergreen garland as a base layer, and don't be too concerned with an exact shape. The natural feel of the evergreen garland gives a laid-back Scandi vibe. Evergreen can be fresh or artificial, depending on your preferences. For this display, we opted for a pre-lit garland, but if you want to add an extra strings of lights-now is the time.
Another option that will add more texture to the greenery, is to incorporate sprigs of eucalyptus, fir, or seasonal elements such as rosemary or cinnamon sticks with a twist of florist wire into greenery. This creates more visual interest-plus the aromatic scents will fill your kitchen with Christmas cheer! Just secure any additional sprigs with a twist of florist wire.

Next, layer in the Christmas trees in varying textures and colors. This will make your display have depth, different textures, and really pop. Try combining sparkles with rustic grapevine, or feather with ceramic.

Lastly, candle sticks add a captivating coziness to the display. Candlelight has the power to instantly transform the atmosphere of a room.

Remember when you're shopping these products, that the colors here are all neutrals but you can use whatever color scheme you like and it will still look amazing.
